While Tilín is neglected and Wilbur does have to be away for long periods of time there is also permanent child abandonment like Spreen leaving Fit and Ramón which is referenced multiple times though usually in a lighthearted manner and Kameto leaving which Pomme has stated actually affects her though she jokes about it sometimes. The closest it gets to full-blown child abuse is when Charlie locks his daughter Juanaflippa in the 'Flippa cage' and is harsh to her given its what his dad used to do to him, however in the same stream he decides to try and be a better parent, and he stops.

Several characters have been infected by different entities, which changes their bodies.
