In Generation Loss: The Social Experiments, the whole premise is based around something similar to the Truman Show, where characters are brainwashed into thinking that the TV they are being filmed in is all real. Ranboo, the main character does not realize this until after the 2nd episode.

During the first episode, there is a scene where a character is required to cook. There are a bunch of different ingredients that they can use and a carousel of insects is one of the ingredients chosen. During the episode, there are a few close-up shots of the bugs, alone as an ingredient and as part of the final meal. While they are plastic and not real bugs, they can be mistaken for real bugs at a glance!

It isn't graphic and is only implied. During episode one a character has another character cook food for them. Slime and slime guts are used as the main ingredient. In episode two it is revealed that without the "content filter" slime is actually blood. This is confirmed in episode 3 when a bucket with the label of slime is found to be filled with blood. This revelation means that the character in the first episode was actually eating blood and human body parts.

In episode two a character is having "surgery" performed on them. It is first presented in a comedic way as a character pulls out a variety of toys and slime. During the scene, however, the truth of what is actually going on gets shown. The slime is shown to be blood, and the character is actually just getting ripped apart by another character. Both characters show visible distress during this scene.

Not in the show. I will add that in many fanworks, the main characters' backstories are often abduction, but there is no definite proof in the show. There is mention of the characters having another life before the show and not remembering, though. But no mention of when they were taken from that.

The whole origin of the story is that all the characters are kidnapped by a media company that is putting on a “silly show.” When the content filters turn off, that is where the true horror lies. No kidnapping is explicitly shown, but it is confirmed that everyone there is there against their will.

There is one moment where during a surgery scene, it changed from being silly with the stomach being slime and the person talking, to it being blood and the person screaming. This is a sudden change so it can be considered a jumpscare.

There is this "content filter" that alters the way the viewer and characters see reality! The main basis is that the Showfall Media company is putting on a show and the actors (our characters) are unwilling participants (mind control)! The filter makes it so that a bunch of the character's previous actions like eating a bowl of slime or having a chest full of slime are revealed to be much more sinister when it is revealed that without the filter (or the actual reality) that slime is blood. There are also scenes where characters die, but they are seen through the "content filter" so the deaths are humorous but there is an underlying understanding that in reality, their deaths were likely horrific and graphic! This is a pretty huge part of the show so there are a lot more examples that I haven't included!

This is not addressed within the fiction, but Ranboo is nonbinary and uses both he/him and they/them. They are exclusively referred to as he/him in Generation Loss, creating an undertone theme of misgendering as part of the in-universe show.

Yes, but not because they’re LGBT. There are deaths of characters portrayed by LGBT+ actors and also of LGBT+ and LGBT-implied characters, but none of these deaths are specifically because of/targeting their sexual, romantic, or gender identities. So yes, LGBT people die, but not directly because they are LGBT, it’s instead for plot and story reasons.
