Madison is paralyzed by shocking visions of grisly murders, and her torment worsens as she discovers that these waking dreams are in fact terrifying realities with a mysterious tie to her past.
This movie contains 64 potentially triggering events.
The main character is attacked by her husband very early in the film, and a couple of characters say that he mistreated her in the past later on in the film. The past violence is not shown.
A woman has her mouth covered by duct tape. **Spoilers spoilers spoilers** Later, a woman is smothered "to death" by having her mouth covered by a supernaturally strong hand. She ends up being okay.
Near the beginning of the film, in the opening credits, there are several images of surgery. The images repeat themselves in the third act of the film.
Excessive as in you see broken bones protrude from broken limbs, cuts, severe facial and head trauma. Yes I would say it’s pretty gory and bloody when compared to movies not known for being gory. It’s not per say a “gore fest”, but if you’re sensitive to it I’d say to skip the movie
100% yes. A woman is shown using Oxygen and being Wheelchair bound - the actress is not physically disabled. **Spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers** the main actress is able bodied and (to the best of my knowledge) mentally well. She portrays a mentally unwell individual who has physical disabilities later
Bones/joints popping, multiple explosions of lightbulbs throughout film. Static noises from radios, tv’s and cell phones. Loud screaming throughout film. Gunfire off and on.
No. However this movie can be triggering to those who have body dysmorphia. The main "villain" moves incredibly oddly/backward and seeing them become themselves might cause dysmorphia. **Spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers** the main character is two people in one body and must share control. To do so, they dislocate parts of their body to shift "backwards" and being themselves. Apologies if that's not helpful. It seemed kind of triggering.
The main character has miscarried in the past (we're told but not shown) and [MINOR SPOILER] she is pregnant at the beginning of the film and miscarries after being attacked.
I jail there are two characters who are misrepresented. A Latina girl with the stereotypical super thin eyebrows and gang-esque dress. The other is more obvious. Maybe she's supposed to be a themed gogo dancer or prostitute, but the main black woman in these scenes looks like she came out of a disco
End of the movie has a killing spree which includes a lot of gun fire. Both by police and the killer towards the end of the spree, after escaping the station. The killer mainly uses brute force or a blade
