The death is not shown on screen. The camera briefly shows the aftermath (not bloody, just a small furry stillness) but if you're not paying attention you could easily miss what it's showing you.

The dog in the movie runs off around the halfway point and later returns, having been infected. You see one small shot of the dog obviously being infected, and the dog is killed off-screen, and burned on-screen (but with nothing shown).

It is heavily implied through the narrative that the dog is being murdered by being let loose into an area filled with monsters that attack based on sounds. The dog's family is watching while this is happening, there is an immediate expression of horror and grief, other characters react to the event as though the dog is immediately being killed.

A cat named Jaspers is already dead once the story starts. Dave accidentally sends a katana through a crow, killing it. A cat named Frigglish (Jaspers from another timeline) accidentally gets smashed by a book. Bec Noir, half human half dog, gets his arm chopped off and punched into the ground. (Does not die, though.)

*The* dog doesn't die, nor do any characters we have grown to care about, but one or two background dogs are shown to have died off-screen. The movie is meant to be satisfying overall to anyone who cares about dogs, as the dogs are given a happy ending.

Yes disturbing, but the characters were going to be eaten if they didn’t kill them. The dogs became wild and were ferocious, so not beloved pets anymore. However, if Daryl’s Dog dies, I’m not watching it anymore! 🥺

Yes, and there needs to be a new rule in movies where no dogs shall die because honestly they keep getting cuter and Netflix just keeps killing them off. Luckily however the movie doesn't give you much time to become attached to the dog

Dart the demo-dog, who Dustin raises as his pet (and yes does eat a cat at one points), dies at the end of the last episode, after having let the gang pass by and having a bonding moment with Dustin. He does not go after El along with the other demo-dogs and dies next to the candy bar wrapper Dustin gave to him and it's VERY SAD, OKAY.

Fenrir does not die. He is immortal. Like most other gods of the Norse mythology, and superheroes in the genre, death has to be epic and is often temporary. It is in the Norse lore that Fenrir actually consumes Odin during Ragnarok and would in turn be killed by Odin's son Víðarr, but this does not happen in the movie. So although peril happens to Fenrir, such as a great fall, he does not die from this.

He lures a dog out Into the Woods with the intent to kill it, but chickens out last minute and yells at it to go away. Later on, the carcass of a large animal is found, but it is blurry so you can't tell if it's a dog or not. It definitely isn't the same dog though, because it's a different color. It might be a deer
