Is a male character ridiculed for crying?

As someone who has been made fun of for crying multiple times by abusive friends, this is incredibly triggering. It's often portrayed as a joke, and it's just something I want to avoid. Many men are victims of abuse and get made fun of for it or told that they can't be abused, and would be helped by being able to know ahead of time whether or not that happens.

Billy had toxic masculinity forced on him after his parents divorced and his father verbally abuses him for crying. Jonathan details a time where he cried after his dad shot a rabbit, it’s not confirmed if he was ridiculed over it but it’s an easy inference to make and there’s talk of the dad being insensitive to Will’s emotions. El is ridiculed for crying but she's a girl and eventually kicks the ass of the main bully anyways.

Peacemaker lies to Vigilante that he doesn’t cry and this comes back at him when he cries after killing his father, Auggie. There’s an initial misconception that Peacemaker is “doing face exercises” but when Economos tells Vigilante what’s actually happening he shows care. Auggie was also extremely abusive and ridicules Peacemaker for his sensitivity and bisexuality.

Zenitsu is slightly ridiculed for crying, but it’s because he cries very often and makes a lot of noise while doing so, and not because he’s a boy.

There is a lot of insensitivity to the main character's sadness after his younger brother is killed by Pennywise. The boy of size (I forgot his name) cries while he is getting tortured by Henry Bowers and he's ridiculed for this.

Thor getting smacked by Rocket over his anxiety attack probably qualifies more as ableist behavior but that happens. The God of Thunder is also sad over the death of his mother and his breakup with Jane Foster and cries over the former at one point IIRC, he isn't bullied for it but it's arguably played for laughs.
