It's used in Asylum, for one person it is used as gay conversion therapy, and for another it fries her brain so much that she forgets her own name.

It's really brutal and seriously messed me up. I wish I had known before seeing this movie. Don't watch if you're afraid of this specific thing or of mentally ill people being abused.

Not so much medical EST, but alien tasers are used to subdue a character. Their memory reading machine also appears to use electricity, but it doesn't seem to hurt her.

A torture device set up by the villain has characters sit at a device with images of their friends and switches, they get told that they must choose one of the friends to be electrocuted or they all will be. It later emerges that this was about the psychological aspect of the torture and none of them were actually electrocuted. In season 7 upon finding a basement of files; the characters discover that when having her sister institutionalised, one character authorised electro-shock therapy to be used on her. Although it is never explicitly stated or shown it is implied that the character suffered due to this. The main villain of the show spent almost the entirety of her life in a mental institution; it is implied that she was forced to undergo electro-therapy While exploring a sanitarium; the characters find electro-shock therapy devices.

In the episode Black Museum, in the third story of this anthology episode, a life-like (and possibly consciousness) hologram is forced to undergo holographic torture via an electric chair - being restrained to the device, and unable to escape. This is clearly shown to be a painful and harmful abuse of this hologram.

The main character is strapped down with his eyes forced open and is forced to watch what is on the screen in order to cure him of his violent actions. (Aversion Therapy) There are a lot of electrodes attached to his head and it overall is a unpleasant scene of torture.
