Is there misophonia?

Misophonia, or "selective sound sensitivity syndrome", is a neurological disorder often associated with autism and ADHD, in which hearing mouth noises or repetitive sounds like eating, chewing gum, smacking lips, tapping, and other noises when eating, triggers anger, disgust, or even physical pain. Many movies and TV shows have moments like this, with some that are so extreme it becomes unwatchable for viewers who suffer from this, as I do. I have wished for this to be a category on this wonderful site for years.

This prompt is worded awfully. The show has fairly regular eating sounds but they’re not obnoxious IMO. In addition, Ruby says she has misophonia but is later seen eating around people without reacting. So maybe her trigger was something else?

In episode one, there is a dinner scene where for about 10 seconds nothing but chewing can be heard, made me quite nauseous but its over quick.

In S2E4 there are two eating scenes that might be uncomfortable to see/hear. There are probably eating scenes in other episodes, too.

And how! The main indicator of Charlie's presence is her tic of clicking her tongue. It is repetitive and agonizingly grating.

Most people have said no to this question, but as someone who actually has misophonia, there were some sounds in this show that could potentially bother people who have it. Charlie brushing his teeth and spitting out his toothpaste was a trigger for me, as well as typing sounds and loud cheering sounds at the sports event in the last episode. It all depends on the person!

Although I consider this show good about it, untensiles Can be heard clicking against plates but chewing is normally inaudible. Since Hannibal, a main character, is an avid cook, misophonia triggers are in most episodes.

There is scene where Denethor noisily, disgustingly devours a large meal. There are mouth sounds and close ups of biting and chewing moist food. This scene is juxtaposed with footage from battle.
