Is there misophonia?

Misophonia, or "selective sound sensitivity syndrome", is a neurological disorder often associated with autism and ADHD, in which hearing mouth noises or repetitive sounds like eating, chewing gum, smacking lips, tapping, and other noises when eating, triggers anger, disgust, or even physical pain. Many movies and TV shows have moments like this, with some that are so extreme it becomes unwatchable for viewers who suffer from this, as I do. I have wished for this to be a category on this wonderful site for years.

This prompt is worded awfully. The show has fairly regular eating sounds but they’re not obnoxious IMO. In addition, Ruby says she has misophonia but is later seen eating around people without reacting. So maybe her trigger was something else?

In S2E4 there are two eating scenes that might be difficult to see/hear. There are probably eating scenes in other episodes, too.

All the characters eat pretty loudly. The kissing scene in S1E7 is super loud and gross. You also hear the sounds of oral sex (female receiving) which is also sloppy and gross.

There are multiple sound effects that could trigger misophonia, however no characters suffer from it onscreen

As someone with misophonia this movie wasn't triggering at all, theres a few minor noises here and there but none of them stood out to me.

There are quite a few scenes of characters eating, breathing heavily, whistling and squishy audio gore. As someone with misophonia it is sometimes noticable, but not the worst.

Chewing noises after venom attaches to Eddie in his apartment and in the restaurant. Eddie eats rancid chicken. Crunching/chewing noises at the Malaysian market when the woman/symbiote eats an eel. The yellow symbiote is very trypophobia inducing as well if that upsets you.

Lots of gross noises happen in this movie, especially in tense scenes. Crunching and snapping can be heard. This movies relies heavily on distorted and scary audio.

There's a lot. The gym teacher chews gum all the time and there's a bunch of jokes that boil down to 'Grady chews with his mouth open'

In season 10 episode 2, Peter makes "dad noises" which many would considered grating. There's also an episode where he rubs a plastic wrap on a couch to make a very unpleasant sound that could cause pain in those sensitive to it.
