ReportFour boyhood pals perform a heroic act and are changed by the powers they gain in return. Years later, on a hunting trip in the Maine woods, they're overtaken by a vicious blizzard that harbors an ominous presence. Challenged to stop an alien force, the friends must first prevent the slaughter of innocent civilians by a military vigilante ... and then overcome a threat to the bond that unites the four of them.

When the hitchhiker stops a man in a big rig, the driver has a dog. The hitchhiker brings the dog to eat a dead alien and soon the worm is in the dog. The dog lays next to the hitchhiker in the big rig (after the diver is killed) and the dog is wimpering as its stomach moves strangely. When they get to the Boston aqueduct, the hitchhiker brings the dog inside. The dog does die, but you don't SEE it die, you just see the body. The wimpering is yucky though. It starts maybe the last 30/45 minutes of the movie.
