Kind of. Thackery the cat is run over but comes back. When the witches die and his spirit is realised from the cat form, there is a very sad meow from the cat and then cats body is lifeless which I found really upsetting but Thackerys spirit is there he is happy and reunited with his sister. So it is happy.
