They threaten to euthanize the dog because she is a pit bull mix and the city laws say she can't stay there. She faces some dangers and is away from her owner for a long time. But I don't agree that it isnt a feel good dog movie because the whole plot is about her love for her owner and her motivation to return to him.

yeah because a guy holds a gun to bella the dog and before he shoots another guy stops him, and a guy keeps chasing bella the dog when she was trying to get food he scared her so bad she had to hide
