This website doesn't have a category for theatre, but it should be mentioned that in most productions of the stage musical - but NOT the 2002 movie - the reporter Mary Sunshine is played by a man in drag. It's revealed during the trial scene that she's "really" a man (she removes her wig and sings in a lower register). Nobody ridicules her, she's treated as a woman when presenting as a woman and vice versa, so it probably isn't misgendering. However the reveal itself is presented as a joke, which may be upsetting for viewers who have triggers around misgendering.

The word "queer" is used in a song but it's more likely meant as the old-timey meaning of "strange".

DTDD doesn't have a "theatre" category, but it's worth mentioning that in most stage productions of the musical, the reporter Mary Sunshine is played by a man in drag. This is revealed during the trial scene and is played for laughs. This does NOT apply to the 2002 movie version, where she is played by a woman.

A lot of the dancing and costumes are sexually provocative. Worth mentioning that in a lot of cases the women are portrayed as in control of their sexuality and using it to their advantage to manipulate men.
