It is not real, but yes. It was not very triggering for me as someone with emetophobia, but the entirety of season 1 episode 2 is about "possession" and one of the goals is that each cake has to v*. The most triggering part for me was at the beginning when Matthew is discussing the challenge, the male horror creator suddenly starts v* up a white goo. It wasn't too bad but unexpected. Not really any noises, just visual, other than people's reaction. Matthew states that he hopes a cake makes him v* because "that almost did." There is no real gagging or v* from an actual person.
The v word is used a loooot during this episode, as they make the substance and talk about getting their cake to do that action. Ch*nks are mentioned as they explain the texture of their substances. Additionally, when they show off their cakes, each one has a v* element (no triggering noises) and the judges have to "eat" the v* with their slice of cake. It wasn't really triggering for me because it was very clearly fake and that is not an issue for me. If you are sensitive to the discussion of this act/substance, I'd skip this entire episode as there is no escaping it.

Kind of? It's obviously made of cake, but there is discussion of the eating of children and it is a common theme. There are fake children's body parts being devoured.
