When her life comes to an abrupt end, George discovers that death is nothing like she thought it would be. Recruited to collect the souls of others as they die, she suddenly finds herself an unwilling participant in a line of work she never knew existed: Grim Reaping!
This tv show contains 10 potentially triggering events.
A dog clearly dies in season 2, episode 13. You don't see the death or the dead dog but you see the dog's spirit emerge from a car that seemed to have hit something. It is implied that the dog's spirit is escorted to some sort of an afterlife.
The main character dies in the first episode and throughout the series, her family is dealing with the aftermath. Since she's now undead, she grieves her own death too.
A character is exposed to a lethal amount of drugs but only suffers some side effects since they're undead. In season 2, it shows the aftermath of another character who died of overdose with the syringe still in their arm. Another character with dementia/alzheimer's unknowingly overdoses on unsupervised medication thinking it was candy.
In Rest In Peace (S1E14), a pet rabbit is reaped by Charlie, a child reaper, in the vet's waiting room where George is waiting with Dolores for her cat Murray. The rabbit's death is implied but occurs off-screen.
In the 2009 movie Delores Herbig's cat Murray is euthanized. Much of the movie is spent explicitly leading up to it, so it is not a surprise. However, they show the needle he is euthanized with and there is a lot of grief shown over it.
Season 1 Episode 5. About half way through, while talking to a man in a diner, they cut to how he died— a large, poisonous spider is shown crawling up his neck.
It's worth noting that the writer/creator is a gay man. This was most likely just him poking fun of his fellow gays. As for the transwoman, I'm not sure but I remember whichever character reaped her as being very kind to her? That too makes more sense when you remember the show is from 2003. With these things in mind it's easier to understand the perspective the show was written in, and possibly mitigate damage.
S1E1 - There's a bank robbery with two guns pointed at people. One of the guns is fired but not at anybody.
S2E2 - Roxy points her gun at Mason and shoots him inside of a diner. The gun is fired under a table and only the flash is seen.
S2E6 - (Mass Shooting off screen) A disgruntled man walks into a company building and pulls out an assault rifle. Off camera, multiple gunshots are heard but nothing is shown.
