Flik (Kang Su-jin) is an inventive ant who's always messing things up for his colony. His latest mishap was destroying the food stores that were supposed to be used to pay off grasshopper Hopper (Lee Hyeon-seon). Now the strong-arming insect is demanding that the ants gather double the food -- or face annihilation. To avert disaster, Flik goes on a journey to recruit fighters to defend the colony. When he meets a band of high-flying circus insects, he thinks he's found his salvation.

Debatable. Two characters are implied to be in a relationship - one of them sounds like an old man (which is confirmed by a fly calling him an “old hag”), and the other sounds like a young woman.
Hopper has a blinded eye, apparently from being damaged by a bird (though we don't see this, there is a reference to it). To frighten Hopper, many bugs put red jam on their eyes to make it seem like the bird gouged them out (and in a bloopers scene, Slim mentions it getting in his eye and stinging).
A few people have interpreted the role of the grasshoppers and particularly their speech as representing the “new world order” conspiracy theory but it’s not likely or explicit.
Not explicitly, however there are no humans in the film suggesting some to theorize that it takes place after a nuclear holocaust. There is no evidence for this in the film however.
