Scissors are mentioned several times in the process of delivery to accomplish an episiotomy to enlarge the opening for the baby to be delivered through. Also with EACH birth there is a scene of cutting the umbilical cord (scissors cutting through ropey, sinewy tissue).

**all instances of actual v* being shown, not including when it is just mentioned. I am a severe emet, but this is one of my favorite shows and is so worth it if you can skip these scenes!**

S1 E2 - when Chummy is delivering the baby that is in breech position, the pregnant mom v*. This is the birth that happens during the wedding. She says a line about feeling sick but it happens right after.

S1 E7 - Unexpected cut scene, a young character who they are worried about developing septicemia v* into a toilet several times. This happens right after the policeman starts handing out flyers for the abandoned baby, then cuts to this scene.

S2 E3 (E4 on Netflix) - Jimmy complains about abdominal pain and says he has v* in the past. There is a scene where the front of his shirt is soiled as if he has v* - this is during the scene when he comes to the hospital by ambulance and it just looks like a yellow stain.

S2 E5 (E6 on Netflix)- Nora, the woman who wants an abortion, v*. This happens when her children are eating around the table and her husband asks if she’s alright.

S2 E6 (E7 on Netflix) - A woman coughs into a handkerchief and there is blood in it early in the episode.

S3 Christmas Special - When the children are singing “O Little Town of Bethlehem,” Chummy asks Jack to sing out and show the younger kids how it is done, then he leans over and v*.

S3 E3 (E4 on Netflix) - When a father comes in to see his wife and baby about halfway through the episode, she says she must look terrible and he says she looks fine, and then she says, “I’m gonna be s*” and a nurse brings in a bowl and she v*.

S3 E6 (E7 on Netflix) - Timothy tells Trixie that a boy has been s* on the floor of the bus but you don’t see/hear anything at this point. When it cuts back to them, Trixie comes out carrying paper towels that are dirty (and look like they have v* on them) that she used to clean it up and asks, “How’s the patient?”, and right after this a boy leans over and v*.

S3 E7 (E8 on Netflix) - Chummy's mom has just said goodbye to Freddie and is about to leave. She and Peter are talking and she says she’s a natural with horses. Just after this line she gets a strange look on her face and v* a small amount into a handkerchief.

S4 E1 (E2 on Netflix) - Trixie delivers a baby in the back of a car, and when she gets inside, the mother says “I’ve been s* on the seat.” Nothing mentioned again until after the birth, but when the mother asks Trixie if blondes have more fun, Trixie looks down and sees that she has knelt in the v*. It is shown. There is also a part just past the 20 minute mark when Trixie and Patsy start dancing together. Barbara is shown looking s*, and there are a few cutaways back and forth between her and the girls dancing – she eventually g* but doesn’t v* (this happens right after she lays her head down on the bed and groans). However, there is a deleted scene that is shown when watching on TV as opposed to Netflix where Trixie and Patsy help her to the bathroom and we hear her v* off-screen. If you mute it after she g* and unmute it when Patsy and the sisters are talking in the next scene, you should be okay.

S4 E5 (E6 on Netflix) - The Sylhet mother gets diphtheria and is shown coughing something up into a handkerchief. Lots of coughing and wretching that may be triggering.

S4 E6 (E7 on Netflix) - The young woman with diabetes is shown v* into a toilet around the 13 minute mark. Mute after she says "I'm about to be sick" and you should be fine.

S4 E8 (E9 on Netflix) - Very unsafe. A main storyline is about a mother with constant morning sickness. If you don’t want to miss plot points but still want to watch, mute every time you see the blonde woman (first appearance is in the waiting room of the clinic.) Mentioned a lot, and mostly sound, almost no visual.

S5 E3 (E5 on Netflix)- Around the 11 minute mark, a pregnant woman is shown leaning over the toilet. Her landlady asks what she is doing from outside the door, and a few seconds after, we hear her v*. Audio only.

S5 E4 (E6 on Netflix) - Around the 40 minute mark, Trixie and Tom pull a semi-conscious man (Ian) out of a flat following his suicide attempt via carbon monoxide poisoning. Shortly after, Ian leans over to v*.

S5 E6 (E8 on Netflix) - Thora (the mom of the pregnant woman) v* in the sink after she finds out she hurt her daughter by pulling out the umbilical cord.

S5 E7 (E9 on Netflix) - A mother is walking down the stairs with her husband and Nurse Crane and the mother is seen repeatedly v* over the side. The scene cuts to something else and then cuts back to her v*. If you look away for about 30 seconds, you should miss both scenes.

S6 E2 (E3 on Netflix) - After the smallpox clinic, Shelagh stops to v* a small amount into a handkerchief. No visual, and after this it is over.

S6 E3 (E4 on Netflix) - Shortly after the 28 minute mark, Lucy (Barbara’s patient) runs into the surgery, and after a cutaway to her unresponsive newborn, she v* onto one of the chairs by the door. Audio and visual.

S8 E1 (E2 on Netflix) - Two women are in their kitchen talking. One of their sisters looks unwell and v* into the sink.

S9 Christmas Special - The mother who gives birth in the lighthouse says “I think I’m going to be s* and she v*. This happens after these gives birth. The rest of the episode is safe.

S10 Christmas Special - Some coughing from a patient with lung cancer, but otherwise completely safe. Nothing he coughs up is shown.

S10 E1 - Around the 13 minute mark, one of the pregnant women’s husbands is heard coughing and then comes around the corner with blood on his face, hands, and in a rag. No v* shown, but the sight and audio could be triggering. In the meeting with Dr. Turner after the woman’s husband meets his friend at the bar, v* is mentioned but not shown at all.

S10 E3 - The patient who comes in and claims she is pregnant, though she is not, discusses feeling s* throughout the episode and v* is discussed in many scenes with her in it towards the end of the episode. Around the 37 minute mark, she tells Sister Hilda that she v* in the night, and the v* is shown in the basin. No audio in this specific scene, though the v* is described as having blood in it. Later in the episode, around the 50 minute mark, the same character overdoses and v* when Sister Hilda comes in to check on her again. Audio and visual, though not super graphic. This scene only lasts for about 30 seconds.

*SPOILERS* Shelagh and Dr Turner start dating and get married. I believe there is quite a big age gap as in one episode a lady says that he creeps her out because he's "old" and she's much younger. I can't see a particularly noticeable age gap however. I wouldn't of guessed unless told there was a big age gap

In some of the Christmas episodes, Santa is talked about as if fake or Fred is shown dressing up as Santa for a Christmas show. But the show also isn't a show that kids would enjoy in the first place.

Some episodes do. There are main characters that leave and/or die and those episodes are sad-ending to me.

A main character is hit by a car in S4E8. She lives, but shortly suffers from seizures and amnesia.

Season 6, episode 6 features the threat of direct nuclear warfare as a central theme. No explosions are shown, however the cast legitimately believes they are about to be nuked and the episode will most likely be triggering to those who struggle with nuclear explosions, "end of the world" scenarios, and similar themes. The "next episode" preview in the previous episode (6:5) also shows a clip of this, but is right at the end and can be easily avoided by stopping the episode when the preview starts. || Season 10, episode 1 includes a scene where characters are watching footage of nuclear bomb tests: the explosion is shown clearly on screen for several seconds. One of the major themes of the episode is nuclear radiation and the effects it can have on people, especially a new born child, this is discussed several times thoughout and cannot easily be skipped. || Nuclear weapons are briefly mentioned in several other episodes too, however these ones are brief, unimportant to the episode, and can be skipped without effecting the episode's plot

Blood is casually shown in childbirth scenes or when someone gets injured.

No, but in S1 E5, Jenny almost drowns in the pool. She then has an asthma attack but she lives.

I don't know. S11E5 ends with some old bombs being exploded in a controlled way. The explosions are shown.
