Later on (I think it's season 2, 1st episode): Sarah finds an abandoned shed with dead decaying cows (it's quite dark outside and the camera shows the cows briefly, would not say it's very graphic). 1 of the cows is still alive and it is lying on the ground, mooing in a very sad way. It is vert malnourished, practically a skeleton. Sarah then goes home to collect her gun, comes back and 'mercy'-kills the cow (you don't see it, just hear a gunshot).
