The audience is set up to believe the dog will die by following a ball out a high-rise window. Instead, the dog hits its head on the closed window, but a huge vase falls over. We see the man’s horrified expression as the dog is killed off screen. Then the dog’s body is carried around in a handbag. You see a limp paw and at one point its head. This is NOT FUNNY. So insensitive.
