ReportSynopsis
Orphaned and alone except for an uncle, Hugo Cabret lives in the walls of a train station in 1930s Paris. Hugo's job is to oil and maintain the station's clocks, but to him, his more important task is to protect a broken automaton and notebook left to him by his late father. Accompanied by the goddaughter of an embittered toy merchant, Hugo embarks on a quest to solve the mystery of the automaton and find a place he can call home.

While one of George's movies are being filmed, a large puppeteered fake dragon is 'killed' when the actors poke it with spears and swords.

The only physically disabled character is the antagonist, who injured his leg in war. There are several mishaps with his leg brace that hinder his plans while lighthearted music plays. At one point his leg brace gets caught on a passing train, and he is dragged alongside it while people watch. Additionally, when the station inspector stops Hugo and Isabelle, Hugo pretends to be 'simple minded' so he doesn't have to speak.
