Some people have taken issue with the part where British colonial soldiers arrive to kill the Thuggee but seeing as they don't break the law it might not count by the site's defintion.
Hinduism is misrepresented as a cult worshipping an inaccurate Kali, the priest of which sacrifices people to her and uses "black magic" like a voodoo doll and the ability to rip people's hearts out without killing them. The film also implies that Hindus can only worship either Shiva (portrayed as good) or Kali (portrayed as evil), which is false.
Several dead animals are shown during the dinner scene. A dead snake is placed on the dinner table. Then it's cut open and live eels come out, some of which are eaten by the guests. Later beetles are also eaten and at the end of the scene monkey heads are served and the top of the head is detached (you don't see the insides).
Other than the elephan trunk/snake moment, there's also a dead snake during the dinner scene. It's big and the camera focuses on it for a moment. After that, it remains in the background for the reminder of the scene.
Bugs (both alive and dead) are frequently shown throughout the movie. There is one dinner scene where cooked beetles are passed around on a platter and eaten. There is another graphic scene where Willie is passing through a hidden passage completely filled with bugs. A stickbug crawls on her hand, and various other bugs like beetles, cockroaches and centipedes crawl up her legs and body.
Several bad guys fall off a bridge towards the end of the movie. The main antagonist also gets a graphic scene where he hits the sides of a cliff before falling into the river.
I'm not sure if they ended up dying or not, but there is one kid who was a slave and escaped the palace. He arrives at the village breathing heavily and stumbling before collapsing into Indiana's arms and being passed to his mother.
timestamp 1hour 13 mins skip about 2 mins ahead! indiana is force fed the black blood and spits it onto the people holding him captive and trying to feed it to him
The whole movie depicts India and Indian culture in a variety of gross (in many ways) and racist stereotypes. The Thugees themselves didn't exist in real life and were a product of racist colonial paranoia.
