We don't know that the cat dies. Johnny English thinks it's fallen into a woodchipper, but it turns out it hasn't. Soon after, he sits down, and the cat cries out, which tells us that he's sat on it. However, we don't see the cat after that, nor any reaction by its owner, who's present, so I consider it unlikely that it's died.
