that is like, the opposite of what this show is about. there are cropped pictures of a woman with domestic violence injuries at one point but nothing beyond that
domestic violence becomes a focus in one or two of the episodes. it is not shown on screen or discussed very graphically but an instance of a man beating his wife is at one point discussed for a while and some pictures are shown of her injuries. it doesn't come up again in that level of detail
(spoilers in other comments) sexual assault is discussed but not in detail. a character confesses to having been groomed as a teenager. another character masturbates in public, i don't know if that was shown on screen at all though
nope. there are scenes with a lot of blood, but not many, and they aren't that bad from what i remember. gory scenes are easy to look away from. compared to a LOT of shows these days this show is not gory; maybe its subversion of a lot of typical murder drama shows is why it doesn't use gore for shock/thrill value
there's a very bloody scene where a character comes on screen bleeding from a wound in his mouth and (i think) just below his throat. at first you only see his (naked, bloody) legs as he runs and then later you hear him scream during a scene at the police station and after that he appears on screen.
this scene wasn't actually as gory as a lot of other shows would've made it, it was mostly just blood. i was able to look (through my fingers lmao, but still)
A man has his tongue cut out and is struggling to breathe due to bleeding and exertion after running from the killer. A woman is bitten by a venomous snake and struggles to breathe as the venom sets in.
The victims are killed through strangulation but the deaths are not shown on camera. In s1e8 a woman dies from a snakebite and it looks like she dies from asphyxiation
(non spoiler version) pictures of injuries are shown and a list of broken bones is read alongside them. the pictures mostly just look like battered skin (bloody, bruised etc) but they are shown briefly
(spoiler in other comments) eddie collapses during an interview due to allergies. it's played for comedy. later in the show, gassing is used offscreen. there may have been other instances of passing out but i don't remember.
Around 3:55-4:00 Ray v* at the beach. It's a wider shot so not too bad; he covers his mouth before he does. Audio and visual, kind of just looks like milk
11:40-50 Ray v* again, he says he is going to right before it happens. Audio and visual, medium wide shot. He does cough a lot after.
In the opening scenes of episode 1, Cath mentions she has a menstrual cup in. Towards the beginning of episode 2, you see Cath pour the contents of her menstrual cup down the sink.
the killer is described as a narcissist and is shown acting in a sort of manic way. but its pretty mild altogether. a lot of serial killer shows are worse in this respect
Not exactly but there is a scene that still might be triggering. They bring in a suspect because they find barbiturates when searching his home. During the interrogation he assumes that he's a suspect because he cross-dresses and he references "Silence of the lambs". It's more a joke about man-in-dress-jokes but it might still be upsetting.
In one of the very first scenes, two women make out in bed. There is mention of sexual content, and more kissing later on, but no sex scenes shown on screen.
