Orion and The Dark
Movie • 2024
ReportFollow Orion, an elementary schooler and a full-time fraidy cat unnerved by heights, spooked by domestic animals, and rendered nearly catatonic by that worst plight of all – the dark. Only one night the Dark just about has enough, so he takes Orion on a nocturnal adventure to show the boy there’s nothing to fear but fear itself.

A cockroach gets set on fire by its surrounding's heat. We don't see it die. It just keeps walking like nothing happened.

There are mosquitoes, bees, and fireflies seen from the perspective of a scared child. He mentions the possibility of them killing him and a doodly drawing of him getting an infection and his arm falling off from it.
There is also a cockroach that catches on fire from the heat.

There is a scene where he is under water and holding his breath. But he isn't held there by force. He's the one who chose to. He isn't in any distress.

Not beaten up, but definitely harassed and called names. He has his notebook --in which he writes all his fears-- taken from him and read aloud to humiliate him.
Though, we briefly see another kid getting thrown to the ground before running away.

There are a few scenes where the main character is panicking and breathing heavily.

Very child-friendly, but one scene does have a doodly depiction of the main character getting bit from a mosquito and getting an infection from it. His arm quickly turns green before falling off. It's not very graphic and looks like a children's drawing.

A bully calls the main character "Cryin' Orion". Though, Orion wasn't crying at the time. It's not really gender specific.
