A theatre troupe finds escape from the realities of incarceration through the creativity of putting on a play in this film based on a real-life rehabilitation programme and featuring a cast that includes former inmates.
This movie contains 14 potentially triggering events.
There is no portrayal of a dog dying in the film. However (spoiler alert) a character describes having to put his dog down, in an emotional scene. It happens at the 1:27 mark and the topic is complete by the time the character finishes speaking.
Minimal. During dress rehearsal scenes, there is some light flickering due to stage lights shining directly into camera between/behind characters. Near the end of the credits montage there is brief footage of actors dancing with strobe lighting effects.
There are no scenes where characters actually break the fourth wall, but there is a conversation framed in a way where it can feel like the characters are sharing confidences with the camera rather than each other.
The early credits are accompanied by additional footage, including historical footage of the real prisoners who the film is inspired by. Once the main body of the credits starts, there are no extra scenes or anything like that.
