There is more then one ending. I don't know all the endings myself at this time (June 26 2023), but they are all basically sad. SPOILERS FOR ENDINGS: the bad end Cassie is betrayed and probably dead, the ending where you see Gregory saying he found a hiding place seems to suggest Cassie is imaging a better place before her death, the final end Cassie lives, but it's unknown if she gets out.

It's hard to say. Gregory and Cassie both seem to not have parents. Since they're both around 8-9 (I believe) then it's very likely they were abandoned maybe. Cassie does talk about her dad near the start of the game and both seem to not have any negative words or thoughts towards their parents.

The animatronics seem to not be able to see at all so they don't follow you with sight. Supposedly they follow you based off of sound.

Monty is one, but he's missing his suit. He crawls on the floor with his upper waist. The rest seems to be gone. He still has a mouth that is similar to a alligator/crocodile that you will see in the game over cut scene.
