Extreme emotional, psychological, and physical abuse conditioning (almost to the point of behavioral conditioning through torture) and its effects are shown. It's unflinching and would likely be very difficult to unbearable to watch for survivors of any one of those three types of abuse, but probably for anyone sensitive to this topic as well.

It's an adult who suffers on screen, but we know this began to this character at a very VERY young age (about 3-4). While we never see the character as a child being abused, we do briefly see them as a child at the age when this began.

Emotional, psychological, and physical abuse conditioning so extreme it could easily be described as behavioral conditioning through torture, as well as its resulting long-term effects, are shown. It's unflinching and would likely be very difficult to unbearable to watch for survivors of any one of those three types of abuse/torture, but for anyone sensitive to this topic as well.

While the physical abuse is often not 100% explicitly portrayed, e.g. it is "shown" primarily through sound in a cutaway shot, the psychological and emotional torture is much, much worse and is totally explicit, not at all softened by suggestion.
