VILE, ACME, and Carmen all tail each other, trying to get their hands on whatever precious artifact is the focus of the episode first. ACME also has extensive files built on almost every character.

I’m going to say yes because VILE’s whole deal is taking orphan kids and grooming (they use the term grooming in the show) them to be master thieves. Carmen is also gaslit during her training with Shadow-san, but it’s later revealed that he was doing it to protect her.

Interpol is portrayed as too misguided to actually be able to stop VILE or Carmen. ACME is more of a spy network than a police force, and are also often way too slow to catch VILE without Carmen’s help, and have her pegged as a threat for much too long to be considered actually intelligent.

Occasional retching and gags. In the Day of the Dead Caper, one character sticks her hand in a puddle of vomit and there’s squishing and retching for the whole scene.

There are only two confirmed queer characters, El Topo and La Chèvre, and neither of them die. The show never explicitly says the two are dating, but an animator has gone on record saying they had explicit instructions to make them as affectionate as possible when animating the two.
