'We come in peace' is not what those green men from Mars mean when they invade our planet, armed with irresistible weapons and a cruel sense of humor. This star studded cast must play victim to the alien’s fun and games in this comedy homage to science fiction films of the '50s and '60s.
This movie contains 46 potentially triggering events.
A woman is stripped to her underwear (or dressed in underwear). She has her body displayed and experimented on. The aliens are implied to be sexually aroused by human women in a separate scene.
An alien's head is pretty graphically stepped on and gushes green goo (obvs very stylized, but still, fair warning). Lots of alien heads explode as well, FWIW.
unsure what constitutes as a mental illness in this context, but there’s implied dementia and pretty detailed alcoholism which could both potentially fall under that umbrella
Not really. But there is a subtle joke(?) where a reporter asks if the martians have two genders, like us. And it’s impossible to tell if they’re a man or woman. And the guy answering questions looks confused at another guy. So the joke is on behalf of the person looking like they could be either gender.
The Martian Leader is seen looking a play boy comics, and then is seen looking at a woman he has captured, then the screen is cut to black. It is unknown what happens to the girl during this screen cut,but next we see her,her head has been swaped with a dog's head.
Humans are burned alive by ray guns and turned into skeletons. A human finger is bitten off and bloody. Someone is stabbed. Copious Martian blood (green and slimy) and gore.
