When Elvira’s editor informs her that she will be paid per article, she begins murdering people to avoid going broke. Her plans are shaken when she falls for the crime reporter.
Nothing is shown, but the main character’s young best friend (not a minor) is having sex with a man much older than her. I’m not sure if that counts, but it could still be triggering. It’s mainly mentioned in episode 1, but I don’t remember if it was mentioned in any of the others.
19:28 to 19:35, a character’s cocaine gets spiked and he starts coughing up blood. It’s not necessarily v*, but it was a bit triggering for me. The man is coughing a lot beforehand, but he starts coughing up blood when he’s on the floor.
The coughing happens right after the woman in the scene says “Hey, I have somewhere to be. I need to clean up another one of my fucking messes…”
Aside from this one moment, the show is completely safe! (This moment wasn’t that triggering for me anyway)
There’s one scene where a character starts coughing up blood, but it’s not super graphic. The whole show isn’t too graphic or anything, just some blood throughout the show.
SPOILERS: Not much. There are wounds shown and mentioned, but none are too graphic (except for one in episode 6). There is a scene in episode 6 where a character coughs up blood (check the Does Someone Vomit trigger).
There’s a scene in episode 5 where the main character has to do something to her friend’s neck in order to keep her breathing, that involves cutting the base of her throat and putting a tube in the hole. It was kinda hard to watch, but wasn’t terrible.
SPOILERS: The main character is suggested to be very ill mentally (via genetics) and gets very violent throughout the show, to the point of killing multiple people (including people close to her).
The main character’s dad is suggested to be the source of the main character’s mental illness and has gotten violent in the past (if I’m remembering correctly) as well as mentions it throughout the show.
A character, Leonard, does cocaine, he’s shown inhaling the powder while sitting on a couch. I think it’s in either episode 4 or 5. (I don’t remember the scene very well, sorry for the lack of specifics).
I’m not sure if this counts, but a character sends nude videos to another character and is then blackmailed for it. The videos were sent by his own volition, though, so I’m not sure if this counts or not. This is mentioned in episode 2 or 3.
There is one scene where the main character says that her best friend is hot and it makes her jealous, which might suggests that the main character doesn’t think she’s attractive, but it’s not a main focus.
Abortion is mentioned in one scene, and a character is said to have spoken badly about it to a waitress. The woman who spoke about it did not speak about it on-screen.
Some scenes switch from dark to light quickly, and there’s a scene where the main characters attempts to kill an epileptic man via many flashing screens in the trunk of a car. This scene is in the first episode
Minor spoiler: The main character’s young best friend is in a sexual relationship with a man that is much older than her. This doesn’t last longer than the first episode, I think.
SPOILERS: I wouldn’t say “mutilation”, but a character’s throat is cut into and their trachea is punctured to keep them breathing (a character has to stick a tube into the hole made by the throat cutting), and there’s blood, but I def wouldn’t say it’s mutilation. It’s a bit hard to watch, though.
Minor spoilers: Hanging is first mentioned when the main character attempts to kill a character, but it doesn’t work so nothing is shown.
The main character kills the teller lady by hanging her. It’s first shown when the cop checks her garage. The hanging is shown later. I think it’s shown twice, both when the main character has a flashback (I don’t remember the first time). The second flashback is in the last episode when she’s describing her killings to a character through the metaphor of “body count/sexual experiences”.
SPOILERS: There’s a couple of times throughout the show. The main character attempts suicide via drugs and sends herself out of consciousness with them. The main character’s best friend has an allergic reaction and goes unconscious/stops breathing. I think that’s all of them, but there might be more.
Spoilers: The main character attempts suicide via overdosing on drugs, but it doesn’t work. I’m still gonna put yes, though, since the attempted overdose is mentioned multiple times and the aftermath, when she’s unconscious in her car, is shown on-screen.
SPOILERS: The first episode opens with a scene from 0:10 to 0:35 of the main character’s mother dying in the hospital.
The death of the main character’s best friend’s mother is mentioned, but not shown on-screen. I think this is episode 1 or 2. Both the main character’s and her best friend’s mothers’ graves are shown on-screen.
The main character threatens to kill a character’s mom, but she doesn’t go through with it. This is episode 3.
The main character nearly kills her best friend’s cousin, but it doesn’t work out. This is episode 3.
A character’s wife dies, it’s mentioned in earlier episodes, and is shown in the last episode. Her body is shown a few times throughout the show.
A character’s husband is killed in the first or second episode, and another character’s husband is killed in the last episode.
I think this is all of them, but there could be more. Almost everyone who dies has a family. 😅
The first episode opens with a slightly graphic hospital scene (it shows the open stomach of the mother from an angle that doesn’t make it look super bad) depicting the aftermath of the birth of the main character via c-section from 0:10 to 0:35. The doctor pulls something out of the mother’s open stomach, but it’s not super graphic or anything. There is blood shown, though
The first episode opens with a slightly graphic hospital scene (it shows the open stomach of the mother from an angle that doesn’t make it look super bad) depicting the aftermath of the birth of the main character via c-section from 0:10 to 0:35. The birth of the child is NOT actually shown, as the importance of the scene is to show her mother’s death
Spoilers: The main character chases a man into a road and he’s hit by a car and killed. It shows the car hitting him and it shows the dead body afterward.

They talk about a dog Rocko dying. But you see nothing so it's not very stressful or upsetting.
