This is not very graphic. A character is shown with their eyes bloodshot and hazy (as if blind). They are later shown with a blindfold on, and there is no other focus on this incident.
*more specific spoilers** this happens the first time a group tries to leave the crash site and spends the first night outside. Gus wakes up and realizes he is blind. His eyes are visibly cloudy, bloodshot and there is a bit of ice around them. There is no screaming, blood, etc. it cuts to the next scene with him wearing a blindfold and they are not shown again.

The plane crash and its immediate aftermath features graphic visual and audio gore, including broken bones, crush injuries, and blood.
Many dead bodies are seen throughout, most of them frozen.
Survivors are seen eating scraps of human meat out of desperation. This practice eventually becomes commonplace to them, so much so that human bones are visible as the men pick them clean of meat. The film never frames this practice as a spectacle, however.
The survivors, especially the injured, get weaker and sicker every day. We see skin lesions & burns, frostbite, wind burn, cuts & bruses, bloody noses, and surface wounds throughout the film.

After the rescue, the survivors get showers. One guy is so weak and skinny he can barely stand up, so someone helps. Brief male nudity, front and back, but it is definitely not sexual in any way, rather to show how frail and skinny the men are. Not gratuitous at all.

It’s visually nongraphic (the fire overwhelms the scene) and auditory isn’t bad (just sounds like liquid, no heaving). It is very sudden after a cutscene though, so look away after he sniffs the piece of meat then eats it on his way down the mountain

To survive, many characters resort to cannibalism. This starts at around the 45 minute mark. You see them thawing out the meat and eating it. You also see them cutting up the bodies just off screen. It is purely for survival, no one wants to do it.

No, which is odd because even though the movie is rated R, no one swears when 1. Their plane is about to crash 2. Crashing 3. Aftermath of crash when they all realize their extremely grim situation 4. When they realize they have to eat their dead teammates or die of starvation 5. During a sudden, frightening avalanche or 6 when they overhear on the radio the search has been called off. Even if they were choirboys (which they are not) someone would at least say “shit” or even “goddamn it”. They get upset, scream, cry, yell but no profanity. I was actually convinced I thought that this movie was rated PG-13, considering the fact there was little gore. But even in a PG-13 movie, you can drop one F-bomb. Great movie that I’d recommend, but no-one swearing in their extremely dire situation was the only nit-pick I have.
