Some of the anomalies are startling when you notice them, but the closest thing to actual jumpscares are the few anomalies that actually chase you (there’s only three, and it’s possible to notice all of them before they start chasing you and avoid them altogether by turning back).

Greatly. The game is set in a modern Japanese underground passageway with normally identical sections that will sometimes be changed at random in creepy ways due to anomalies. The passageways don’t follow the normal rules of space, as correctly turning back will lead you to a new passageway, and missing an anomaly or incorrectly turning back will send you back to Exit 0. There’s also one anomaly involving a visual glitch, but it’s just a small missing texture.

If you make it to Exit 8, you get to walk up the staircase out of the passageway, and the screen will fade to white as you hear the sounds of the outdoors. Making incorrect choices can’t do anything more than return you to Exit 0, so there’s really no way to get a bad ending.
