When detective Andrea 'Andie' Whitford is transferred to the Victorian High Country, she is thrust into a baffling mystery of five missing persons who have vanished into the wilderness. Through an edge-of-the-seat, high-stakes investigation, Andie uncovers a complex web involving murder, deceit and revenge.
A woman who has appeared pregnant in prior episodes explains tearfully that her son was stillborn. Based on other plot details revealed later in the episode, it is likely that her son is actually alive, but as of the first season his fate is not certain.
No cats appear in the first season. During the bar scene in episode four, a character tells a story that involves the accidental death of a cat; no graphic details.
The unsolved murder of an elementary-school-aged boy and the accidental death of a toddler are important elements in the backstory. Later in the season, stillbirth and infant death are mentioned. None of these deaths occur onscreen.
Just after the scene where the daughter drinks alcohol out of a can at a party, the camera immediately moves to her leaning over a toilet bowl being s***. Sound and visuals. Don’t think it lasts long but look away for a minute and fingers in your ears. Rest of the series is SAFE.
