The dog does not die. The demon does harm it, but the father takes the dog to the vet. In a later scene, the elder daughter discusses the situation with a friend on the phone and mentions that the dog is rehabbing at an animal hospital.
No, it isn't gaslighting, but the dad yells at the others in the house and refuses to believe them or address their fears - this may still be triggering for some people
The pet dog does not die, but it is hurt by the demon around 1 hour 3 mins into the movie. It’s barking at the demon and is dragged and whimpers and then is seen laying on the ground motionless
the dog barks at something off camera, then there is a scene where the dog is taken off camera, the dog squeals, whimpers and whines, but you do not actually see what happens to the dog, she gets taken to the vet, who claims it to have been a “seizure”, but aren’t 100% sure
The mother is possessed after being dragged to the basement and the aunt is possessed after the father performs a ritual to transfer the possession to her
There is a scene in which the mom is in a bathtub and several shots of the exterior pool where you can see the pool cleaner underwater but I wouldn’t say any of these are “underwater scenes”
1) A newborn is the focus of the movie for the first 4-ish minutes; he is shown as a toddler for the remainder. 2) This movie is completely safe for my fellow tokophobes. :)
