Seventeen-year-old Jesse has been hearing terrifying sounds coming from his neighbor’s apartment, but when he turns on his camera and sets out to uncover their source, he encounters an ancient evil that won’t rest until it’s claimed his very soul.
Chavo doesn’t die, but he is in distress a few times throughout the movie. You can hear him whimper a few times, and at one point he’s held up against the ceiling by the demon and whimpers, but he appears to be okay after this. At least, he isn’t seen again, and they don’t make a big deal out of it, like I’d imagine they would if he had been killed.
There are two scenes where there is confrontation which can be triggering to some. Not so much bullying but the guys try to gang up on a smaller pair of individuals.
Plenty of Jumpscares in this film, many are predictable but it really picks up in the last half an hour with about 3 or 4 big ones. More effective than the other Paranormal films, in terms of intensity.
Total Jump Scare Count: 29 (4 MAJOR, 25 Minor)
MAJOR JUMP SCARES IN CAPITAL LETTERS
(Minor) (13:44) (After the boy bangs on the door, the camera moves abruptly)
(Minor) (14:37) (When Hector kneels down to check the Firecracker, he then gets jumped by Jesse (As a joke) a few seconds later, a person suddenly jumps down on the bin behind Hector)
(Minor) (14:47) (The Firecracker finally explodes)
(Minor) (18:15) (Hector accidentally drops a Pan, during a house search)
(Minor) (19:31) (Hector suddenly turns around and scares Jesse (Again as a joke)
A possessed person falls from a very tall building onto a car right in front of the camera. The main character asks about how his mother died right before this scene.
Not really, there's no where else to really put this but they see a naked woman with their camera and after one of the men reacts very negatively to something the other guy says "what does she have a d*ck or something"
