Tricky, Geppetto is separated from his son Pinocchio which is the main plot of the movie. They're both clearly distressed by the situation but it could have also been prevented if he had walked his son to school in the first place, which could be seen as a lack of responsibility on his part albeit without active malintent. I vear on the side of no in this case but it does have a positive resolution in the end.

On Pleasure Island, the young boys brought there drunk and smoke. Later, most become donkeys, which is when they are forced into crates and abused. Though they are donkeys at this point, they were at one point children

Lighthearted example, as Pinocchio escapes his captor Stromboli in the night he cheerfully shouts goodbye back to him, presumably because he was too young to know better. He was clearly distressed by the situation beforehand so I don't think it can entirely be said he was naive, but it's moved on from fairly quickly in the film.

Weirdly enough addiction is not confronted, though there is drug use and it is heavily focused on. They portray smoking and drinking both as very bad things but no symptoms of addiction are ever indicated to be taking place. Very strange.

Jiminy Cricket is, well, a cricket. But he’s nice, funny, and cutesy, so he shouldn’t bother anyone too much. He’s also anthropomorphic so he does things like talk and use two feet to walk and wear clothes and accessories

Jiminy Cricket is moping and on the verge of tears after he couldn’t free Pinocchio from the birdcage.
The donkeys are both sad and scared of their new situation.
Jiminy, Figaro, and Cleo are silently crying when they believe Pinocchio is dead.

Pinocchio and the viewer are forced to witness little human boys transform into donkeys. One character, Lampwick, whom Pinocchio became kind of close with, is clearly extremely frightened as he himself goes through the rapid change, and his last human word is a terrified and terrifying bray of “MAAAMAAA!!!” that will definitely upset viewers of any age.

Pinocchio burns his little wooden finger on a candle flame. This scene is not long-lasting but gets loud and frantic very quickly and could be upsetting to younger viewers.

Surprisingly no, there is an extended underwater portion but the characters are able to talk and breathe perfectly fine for some reason, possibly because Pinocchio is made of wood and does not need air. There is a slight auditory distortion on their voice, but no struggle, so honestly I have no clue on this one.

No, with caveats. Pinocchio, being a wooden boy with wide-range joints, is able to safely move in ways most people can’t, and for those that can do some of those things, can lead to dislocation and other injuries if done too much (I speak from experience). So it’s more a matter of “no because he’s not a human when he does things that humans can’t or shouldn’t”.

The main character is a marionette puppet who comes to life. Strictly speaking not the same thing but if you have a severe phobia it might not be great. With that said he’s a cute little guy, a young child, and is never intentionally harmful to others. Just a cheerful wee fella trying to earn humanity.

The stagecoach to Pleasure Island takes a ferry across an ocean to reach it. Later, Pinocchio and Jiminy escape the island by jumping into the sea and end up on the shore close to their village.
Geppetto sails out to sea to find Pinocchio, only to be swallowed by Monstro the Whale. Pinocchio goes to find him by searching the ocean floor until he’s swallowed by Monstro. When they escape Monstro, they are chased by him on the ocean’s surface until they reach the shore.
