Two doctors find their graveyard shift inundated with townspeople ravaged by sores. Among the wounded is Cherry, a dancer whose leg was ripped from her body. As the invalids quickly become enraged aggressors, Cherry and her ex-boyfriend Wray lead a team of accidental warriors into the night.

Yeah, it's pretty awful. The dog is run over by motor cycle, you hear a yelp and a human character is covered in the dog's blood. The movie is a horror comedy and it was apparently supposed to be funny. You know going into a Robert Rodriguez and/or Tarantino joint that gore and violence will be present, glorified, made humorous... but the scene was upsetting for me.

I watched this movie in theaters back when I had a stronger stomach for this kind of stuff. Don't read on if you don't want to know... A boy is given a gun for protection by his mother and accidentally shoots himself in the face. I don't believe it was explicitly shown (?? ... it's been a while) but you definitely hear the gun shot.

Yes, and what makes it extra messed up is that Rose McGowan is one of the objectified amd at least one person, the director, knew she had been r---d by Harvey Weinstein, but she was put in some messed up situations. Of course, she was also a bad-a-- in the role..I hope she was cool with it and had fun. She was definitely the MVP. She and the guy from 6 ft. Under.
