The Coen Brothers tell the story of an absurd yet likable family with an unproductive couple as the focal point. The couple has gotten themselves into some trouble while kidnapping a baby and give Hollywood one of the most memorable chase scenes to date.

While the baby is put into dangerous situations (left on a car roof, left in the road, or taken along on a bank robbery) some of it is accidental and it's all in a comedic almost cartoony fashion. The baby laughs throughout all of this and is never actually harmed. The baby isn't abused at all, no one actually wants to or does harm him
