Main character cannot let anyone know what is happening and has to lie to friend, finance, coworkers. Main villain tries to convince main character to comply through convincing him it’s not so bad.
A man is drugged at the beginning of the movie. You can’t actually see the drug, but the man begins coughing and dies, so it is heavily implied that he was poisoned.
Mateo's husband Jesse is handcuffed by The Watcher in the Teddy van for most of the film
Ethan is in The Traveler's chokehold in their 2nd bathroom confrontation
Ethan restrains The Traveler in a plane freezer thing in their final confrontation
Ethan hugging Nora sees The Watcher approach with the gun & turns around so he can get shot instead
Jesse however freed himself & snipes The Watcher dead
NOT SAFE. All through the film Ethan looked terrified and I kept worrying that he would v****. I kept muting it in case but nothing happened. At around 50:30 the scene changes and cuts to him v**** in a cubicle without any warning. I only heard the first part as I muted it as quick as possible and there is no visual but i think the sound is quite triggering. I would just skip/ mute the whole scene in the bathroom as he retches again towards the end but put subtitles on if you can as they say a lot in the scene that is quite important - hope this helps.
Mateo accidentally kills himself trying to kill Ethan
This technically would count for suicide, but he never knew the plastic gun would explode in his hand & hit the side of his throat
No, but most minority characters are background or side characters. One of the only two gay characters dies.
There's a montage where the movie shows some self-awareness about the prejudice of security staff racially or religiously profiling flight attendants (attendants asking if they're picked out because they're Black/Muslim, etc.)
Not really but in a short montage of the custom security there are a few people who assume prejudice of the security staff, thinking they are racially or religiously profiled
All romantic relationships seem to be roughly the same age here?
Nora & Ethan's may be the largest, but that's only 3 years with her being 27 & him being 30. So it's no cause for concern
The Traveler, Ethan & Mateo all use the plastic gun
Agent Cole & Fake Homeland Guy struggle with her police gun in the fight to shoot eachother, eventually she shoots him dead when he has her in a chokehold
The Watcher uses a different gun
Jesse uses The Watcher's sniper
In the scene where Ethan and Mateo (red cap guy) are in a search room with Ethan’s boss. There is blood. I would recommend skipping forward 2-3 minutes and it should be fine.
