There is also a scene where Scooby and Shaggy fall off a ferry boat and must be rescued from alligators. Finally, during Lena and Simone's backstory, they mention that their fellow settlers tried to flee into the bayou from pirates only to be eaten by alligators (this is only described, rather than explicitly shown.
