Two colleagues become stranded on a deserted island, the only survivors of a plane crash. On the island, they must overcome past grievances and work together to survive, but ultimately, it's a battle of wills and wits to make it out alive.
A rat is cut. You only see the aftermath when she picks the rat up. Looks very fake. No noises are heard to signal that the rat was in pain or alive prior to this. The rat isn't chopped up, it was stabbed.
Wild boar is hunted. It initially tries to attack Linda violently, so in self defense she spears it through the head and then through the neck. It appears to die and then in a jump scare comes back to life spitting blood and snot all over her and the screen while trying to bite her face. To save herself she stabs it in the eye with a piece of bamboo. It's very shaky and unclear but you see blood, an eyeball pop out and then it dies.
The whole scene is very over the top and the boar looks very CGI heavy, so despite being violent it doesn't feel overly realistic. And given that it was in self defense and to hunt, it doesn't feel sadistic. You see it's decapitated head after.
Rat gets stabbed off screen. No sounds indicate that it was in pain, so it may have already been dead. You see the rat after this get lifted up by Linda into the frame, and it looks very fake with a stab mark.
People are held underwater by the plane itself I guess? But I really think this trigger refers to a person holding another person down underwater, so I don’t think so.
A woman undresses a temporarily paralysed man without consent. She does this to punish him by making him believe that he's being castrated. His parts are not shown on screen.
Not at all. I don’t even know what people voting yes to this could be referring to. How is two people fighting to the death the same as someone being beaten up by a bully ??
The wild boar is decapitated after the hunting scene. You don't see the decapitation. All you see if the head get thrown down onto the sand. Was shown in trailer.
McAdams explains to the CEO guy that the injury isn't a break, but it is still kinda gnarly and takes a while to heal. I don't personally remember the details of the close up of his leg very well, but it may well be triggering. The leg injury is observed when McAdams looks over his unconscious body on the shore post-crash and she is assessing his well-being.
Boars eye pops out when getting stabbed with bamboo.
Linda gets the corner of her eye gouged by Bradley's thumb during a fight. Her eyeball doesn't come out. It cuts away very quickly once you see her thumb go by her eye. She doesn't lose her eye.
There is a lot of gore, and it's excessive but it's also generally pretty cartoonish in an over the top way. The film has more of a dark comedy with horror elements feel, so the gore isn't realistic.
A man bites another man's leg to avoid getting sucked out of a plane. But the wind is stronger than his teeth and he is sucked out anyway. In the process his teeth go flying everywhere. It's quite graphic.
Late in the movie there is a fight between the two leads that includes McAdams biting of a chunk of the guy's flesh and making a show of chewing it before spitting it back out.
A character drugs another and then while they're unable to move or speak, appears like they're about to cut off the other characters p***s We eventually see a blood splatter but we find out that the character stabbed a rat instead.
Again debatable. The scenes in my head regard berries and some squid. You see lots of vomit and someone is being paralized. Not a real overdose but surely can trigger.
It’s implied that they slept together. When Rachel McAdams’ character wakes up on the beach after the night of drinking, we can see two handprints in the sand around her body not in a direction that would have been impossible for her hands to create.
After the cave scene, we see her wake again undressed.
Multiple. About 5 or so. Not 2. Most of the jumpscares are designed to be seen in 3D and involve something flying at or toward the screen.
One occurs during the boar sequence as the boar jumps out of the foliage at Linda. At another point in the movie you see what appears to be a dead character emerge from the ocean. They disappear and then jump up behind Linda. After the plane crash right as Linda swims through the open side of the plane a dead character appears in a jumpscare. There are other minor jump scares too.
- when she fights the boar. There is a second stabbing of the boar then I’d look away. The boar spits up blood and mucus on the character, but can be triggering
-A character attempts to leave in a raft. I would cover your ears or look away once you see the Angelic woman floating in the water. Solid 1 minute of a character vomiting on someone for laughs. Audio and visual both made me walk out of the theater in this scene. It was hard to watch.
There is another moment where she turns toward the camera and addresses “you,” meaning the other character, but it simultaneously feels directed toward the audience.
Someone is threatened with a gun pointed at them, but the twist is that, when they get the gun off them, it wasn’t loaded the entire time. So, there is distress caused by a gun, but no sequences of a gun being used to injure or kill somebody
feckhead
