A murderous baboon escapes from a laboratory and roams the research building, and begins to kill some teenagers who are also in the building playing a Dungeons-and-Dragons type game.
The titular Shakma, a baboon, is killed at the end. Shakma is also shown to have killed most if not all of the other animals locked up with him. However, their deaths are not shown onscreen, only some noises and a splatter of blood. We do see what looks like some torn up flesh hanging from the cages later on, but no identifiable dead animals.
No one kills themself, however the main character does choose not to call for help and instead faces Shakma by himself because he blames himself for his friends’ deaths, ultimately resulting in his own death.
There is a scene where the main character shoves a woman (who’s in love with him) into a wall when she refuses to leave him alone and go somewhere safe. He also yells at her earlier in the movie for not coming out of hiding when he called, because she thought they were still playing a game.
