I did NOT expect this to happen, especially in a kid’s movie! Sweet little Sooky and his buddy Skippy work so hard to raise the money to get Sooky’s dog out of the dog pound, only to find they are 30 cents short. They decide to haggle with the dog catcher, but he coldly informs the boys that the dog has already been killed, shot like the others for whom the deadline has passed. I was stunned!
