At the same time, there is a cave in down in the mines while Snow White is down there, where one of the 7 men dies. It is implied that the bird in the hourglass is also buried alive under the sand.

Technically it's safe, I think... I'll try to point this out without spoilers: There's a point where the stepmother is dancing around in her room after eating stew.
