Of the butchery/market variety (birds, fish, pigs). A caged bird is shown alive, then fried to a crisp in an early scene.

This shouldn't be understated, there is an extended and very violent sequence where a villain imprisons, beats, and attempts to rape 13th Aunt. He is stopped, but not before he's really roughed her up and partially undressed her. Also, 13th Aunt and several other women are nearly forced into prostitution.
