I think so. Quite a few gory scenes. One scene a woman is ripped in half by an infected person and you see the flesh slowly pull apart at her waist from the lower half of her body.

Not by someone else, but you could say yes as people are tortured by the splinters once they're infected. One man is found lying on the floor in pain and begs a healthy person to kill him as he's in too much pain. People can't control their bodies once infected and are put through pain out of their control, with bones snapping and their body contorting to painful shapes and splinters coming through their skin.
