When a nosy neighbor woman attempts to find out what’s going on at the Randall house, her husband calls the cops on her to thwart her, alerting the police that there is a dangerous “man dressed as a woman” who is prowling the neighborhood, looking in windows. The police later apprehend her, telling her that she doesn’t have the face for “pulling jobs” in women’s clothes, and is then arrested. This plot point plays into stereotypes that transgender women are just “men in dresses” looking either for prey or soliciting themselves for sex.
