Taking all that was great from the first instalment, the movie aims to be a wilder, leaner, faster-paced and even more entertaining anthology this time around, with a new crop of award-winning, visionary filmmakers from around the globe.
This movie contains 30 potentially triggering events.
main character in segment J wets himself while being exorcised. main character of segment M wears dirty underwear he presumably wet himself in. there is joking about someone wetting themself in segment F but it does not actually happen
'Z is for Zygote' features a pregnant woman something labeled 'Portlock root' to prevent herself from going into labor until her husband returns, and a time jump shows that 13 years have passed. Her stomach is severely stretched to the point she has to crawl, and the child still growing in her womb is able to talk to her.
(SPOILERS) In segment Q, an ape has its brain surgically removed. A dog is described as dying due to neglect as part of a backstory in segment Y, but that is not shown. In the same segment, a puppet of a dog is beaten; the puppet is the representation of the same dog in an abstract way, but it looks more like a taxidermy than a real dog.
it's kind of hard to make out due to the flashing images, but during segment T, a group of men are (or at least are implied to be) sexually assaulted by tentacles. in the same segment a woman is harassed, slapped, and generally treated in an unprofessional and misogynistic way by said men
in segment F someone falls and lands on a broken leg - you see the bloody wound up close for a moment. in segment S a woman breaks her leg and the bone is visible
potential eye horror (+ general facial horror) in segment H - thanks to the animation style it's more surreal than realistic/graphic though. segment O has a character take off a bandage to reveal an eye wound
retching and coughing in segments B and O but no actual vomiting. in segment Z a woman's blood and organs are expelled through her mouth in a way that kind of resembles (and sounds like) vomiting
there is a part in segment T where the filmmakers mistakenly believe the woman has a penis and are disgusted by the idea. not exactly misgendering but still pretty transphobic
To expand on the above, the child does this by wearing their mother's skin. [They were never born, and break her spine so they can push her organs out from the inside and take over her body]
