Follow Moiraine, a member of the shadowy and influential all-female organization called the “Aes Sedai” as she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women. Moiraine believes one of them might be the reincarnation of an incredibly powerful individual, whom prophecies say will either save humanity or destroy it.
This tv show contains 89 potentially triggering events.
There are all kind of contortions and bone snapping during fights, nothing very obviously featured as a dislocation. At one point someone is contorted over and over using magic and there are lots of unnatural snapping of limbs so it’s likely something was dislocated.
No recreational drugs, but there is a scene where someone drinks a mixture meant to cause remembrances of their past lives. The scene is depicted like disorienting and disturbing hallucinations.
At about the nine minute mark there is a room full of hundreds of buzzing flies all over everything. There are no bodies but people died there in the recent past.
S1 E5 Egwene is physically restrained and forcibly stripped and bathed by members of the White Cloaks. It is in no way sexual, but it is violating and can be triggering to watch
Unclear, but the at the end of the episode someone is slashed with the sword on the back of their lower leg and can’t stand. They are later healed, presumably using magic (not shown)
Egwene is imprisoned by the Seanchan, a group known for their control over magic users using a’dam collars. These collars are magical devices that take away a magic user’s powers. At one point Egwene is hung up by her collar on the wall and struggles to breathe. She later gets revenged by doing the same to her captor.
Someone is “trained” for several episodes by their captors until they are mentally and physically broken. This is done with various forms of physical torture and excruciating pain.
In season 2 there is a lot more gore. So far I’ve seen:
Early on a character’s head gets shoved through a metal tusk, mouth first. The camera lingers on the dead body, showing blood pooling around the body and the tusk pushed through the back of the head.
A character is shown having a blade slowly pushed into their chest (it does not go all the way in, but blood is shown on their clothing).
A character is shown being impaled by a large axe in the torso.
A character gets stabbed in the chest and then their throat gets sliced open.
S1 E2 Rand wakes up coughing and ends up forcing himself to gag - a bat comes up. I found this a very difficult scene to watch, even though it "technically" isn't v*ing
S1 E4 Mat takes a break from mucking the stables and vomits up black sludge/mist from Shadar Logath. It's a short scene, maybe 15 seconds, started around 25:45
There is one instance where an evil character is referred to by her original name, not her new chosen name (which is presumably to keep her identity hidden). She expresses dissatisfaction at being called her old name now that her identity is revealed.
S1 E1 Moirain uses glowing/flickering white magic and lighting.
S1 E3 A dream scene with Perrin with an intense lightning storm impossible to watch if sensitive to flashing lights.
S1 E6 Upon the party entering "The Ways" there is persistent lightning (very end of the episode.)
In the intro flashback to Episode 7, a pregnant woman is stabbed in the stomach. Later in the episode, she is shown successfully giving birth, but dies shortly after
The main group of characters is ripped from their home town and forced to travel, often separated from each other and uprooted or unsafe in foreign lands.
