Report
Released in 1995, Paul Verhoeven's SHOWGIRLS was met by critics and audiences with near universal derision. YOU DON'T NOMI traces the film's redemptive journey from notorious flop to cult classic, and maybe even masterpiece.

Paul Verhoeven films include a lot of sexual assault so there are clips show throughout. There is even a focus on the brutal rape scene in the film Showgirls (the clips especially surround that) - so if this is triggering to watch definitely prepare for it because it's very present.

Oh god, like right in the beginning of the film there is a compilation of projectile vomiting - it's so gross. BUT I will say that happens in the first five minutes and after that you're good until the end of the film. There is a moment of archival footage where an actress performing as Jessie Spano takes a bunch of fake pills and she pushes them out of her mouth and there is a lot of spit there, but no vomit, just similar looking.
