Jordan White and Amy Blue, two troubled teens, pick up an adolescent drifter, Xavier Red. Together, the threesome embark on a sex and violence-filled journey through an America of psychos and quickiemarts.
This movie contains 44 potentially triggering events.
a store clerk gets his head blown off with a shotgun, very over-the-top effect but still a lot of blood/gore, his head flies through the air, we see the bloody stump
Though the characters are far from being in a conventional relationship, it's worth noting that Amy does occasionally hit Xavier (or otherwise lay hands on him) during arguments.
a dog is seen with entrails hanging out after being hit by a car (mostly out of focus) before being killed off-screen (just a black screen but the noises are still heard), several jokes about animal deaths, someone references the richard gere gerbil story
Also, we see a man raping a young woman on top of an American flag. On a less brutal but still non-consensual note, an earlier scene shows a character spying on two other characters having sex, unbeknownst to them.
very brief scene in the beginning where someone cuts someone’s eye in a knife fight. the shot is a split second and very easy to miss but is definitely there.
not necessarily but one character’s cheating turns into a poly relationship that involves bisexuality so i could see this hitting some sore spots if this is a trigger
Amy says "I'm looking for my skull lighter, I swear if it's missing, I'll slit my wrist", another character mockingly tells her "now that would be a great loss to the human race"
Twice someone is watched while having sex. One character watches a couple have sex and then the boy in the couple watches them have sex later through a window.
it’s more of an implication that the character is queer based on his interactions with the other male character in the movie, but to be safe we’ll give this trigger a yes
anti-asian slur in the first half of the movie, i would consider the second to last scene to be a very graphic hate crime especially as it begins with the perpetrators using homophobic slurs against queer characters
Xavier asks Amy and Jordan if they've ever had sex with animals and begins to tell a story about having had sex with his dog but Amy cuts him off. Nothing is shown/no onscreen beastiality, only that conversation
