Industrialist François Delambre is called late at night by his sister-in-law, Helene Delambre, who tells him that she has just killed her husband, André. Reluctant at first, she eventually explains to the police that André invented a matter transportation apparatus and, while experimenting on himself, a fly entered the chamber during the matter transference.

when he is turned into the half fly creature he starts losing his mind and does manhandle his wife a few times when the fly is taking over and he uses loud knocking on the table and his height with aggressive pointing to get her to leave him alone and kill him so he does not harm anyone, she also yells at and shakes their son (not a baby) but the wife does not seem frightened of her husband now the child of either his parents
i believe the other comments are referring to the 1986 film - as far as i could tell the 1958 film (which this page is for) had no vomit in it (but please correct me if i'm wrong)
near the end of the movie the police man calls an ambuance to take the main woman to a mental hospital when she resistes she is injected with a sedative
the police assume the wife is having a breakdown when she tells them what happened and she is ambushed by people trying to take her to a mental hospital, she is sedated with an injection and tied down to a gurny
the closest scene to a hospital is at the end when the police man calls an ambulance to bring her to a mental hospital she resistes and is sedated and strapped down
Debatable. In the original Vincent Price movie the actor who turns into the fly realizes he must destroy himself since he can't be turned back and no one can know of his experiment. His wife helps him destroy himself and later it is deemed a suicide.
there are no canon queer ppl however it is implied the brother in law is based on sterotypes from the time, he doesn't die and is a nice and good person
